Properties of Numbers Test!!!   7A will take the test on Wed, Sept 14th
7B will take the test on Thurs, Sept 15th

Test preparation:
  • The test covers content from chapter 3 in the textbook.  NOTE - roots of whole numbers will not be on the test
  • Review set 3B is excellent practice for the test.  I highly recommend that you spend the time to go over all the questions (except the square root ones)

Homework guidelines:

  1. All homework must be completed, by hand, in your spiral bound math notebook.  It must be completed before class on the day it is due.
  2. Show all work.
  3. Make sure your handwriting is legible.  Take your time and give yourself space between problems.
  4. Circle or highlight your answers.
  5. Check all of your answers (they are in the back of the book).  Use a red pen - check mark for correct, and X for incorrect.
  6. Correct your mistakes using the red pen.  For example, you can re-write questions that you missed on the first attempt at the end of your homework.

What should I do if I don't know how to do the homework problem?

  1. Use the problem solving plan (have you read the problem three times?)
  2. Look at the examples provided in the textbook.
  3. Ask a family member for help.
  4. Email me, tell me what you don't understand, and ask to set up a time to get help.  Office hours will be perfect for this.
  5. Most importantly, don't give up!  Keep at it and get the help you need.
